An appropriate finish treatment is prerequisite for the ideal process flow and a long service life. Pickling and passivating for CrNi steels is standard for the main application, regardless of any additional requirements.
An alternative to pickling and passivating is, if desired, e.g. glass bead blasting.
Often higher surface qualities are required for the product in order to reduce product adhesion, to exert a favorable influence on the heat transfer, or in order to improve the corrosion resistance.
These higher requirements can be realized by grinding and electromagnetic polishing up to a surface quality of Ra=0,2 µm.
C-steel parts are blasted and coated with a corrosion protective layer. Individual customer specifications concerning coating systems can be included during the preparation of technical documents depending on the operating temperatures.
We are able to have these surface qualities realized on-site.
